The Clothing of the Flowers

I had the opportunity to sneak away this morning with my camera.   Lounging by my garden,  I enjoyed the serenade of the birds and the quiet breeze.  On the way back, I discovered some of the spring flowers had opened their petals to embrace the warmth of God's sunshine.  Here is a close up of the bridal wreath shooting it's white sprays across the lilies further below.
Then my daughter squeeled with delight at the discovery of these newly blossomed lilies.  There were several blooming at different stages and I call to mind Matthew 6:28 which states, "And why take ye thought for rainment?  Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow;  they toil not, neither do they spin:  and yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."
This has spurned my interest in looking into just how God has made up the lily plant.  Besides being fantastically beautiful, what other facts about the lily's adornment far suprasses the splendor of Solomon.
As I pursue this study, I'll continue to post more wondrous blooms of splendor!
